Medlock's commitment to considerate construction
19 April 2021
Medlock has long been registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme, a not-for-profit initiative to raise standards in construction and to improve the industry’s image.
We’ve always made achieving great results for clients our top priority and our values guide us to do that safely, considerately, and with respect for the environment. Through our adherence to the Considerate Constructors Scheme, we strengthen our commitment to those values and keep our work open and transparent.
The areas of concern covered by the scheme are the public, the environment and the workforce. That amounts to the following considerations:
Care should be taken for worksite appearance - Sites should be professional, organised, and clean and tidy.
The local community should be respected – The utmost consideration should be paid to neighbours and the general public.
Efforts should be made to protect the environment – Measures should be taken to use sustainable building solutions and to keep pollution and excess noise to a minimum.
Excellent health and safety practices should be in place – There should be practices in place that prioritise the safety of the workforce and the public.
The workforce should be valued – A supportive and caring work environment should be provided for staff.
We look forward to continuing to reach those benchmarks and doing our part to improve the image of construction.
