Cut & Craft, a new restaurant concept has opened its doors in York, occupying a prominent position on Sampson Square.Boasting 142 covers, the restaurant offers affordable and tasty dishes sourced from local Yorkshire producers, focussing on steaks and craft ales.The highlight of the interior is a distinctive showpiece bar in the centre of the main trading area. Surrounding this, the team also installed fixed seating booths and bespoke wine display units made in the Medlock workshop.The interior design pays homage to the city of York, with an array of historical images of the iconic Minster and the surrounding streets. The centre-piece bar also features the White Rose of Yorkshire embossed on the ceiling.The Medlock team completed the fit-out of the former shop unit over a period of 14 weeks.
