Multi-million-pound transformation for Burleigh Court

Medlock is delighted to announce our appointment to deliver a multi-million-pound refurbishment and extension project at the award-winning Burleigh Court Conference Centre and Hotel situated at Loughborough University.

Having recently won a Tripadvisor Travellers Choice award putting it in the top 10% of hotels worldwide, the Imago Venues operated venue is set to receive a show stopping transformation to elevate the best-in-class facilities even further having enjoyed a period of strong financial performance enabling this significant investment.

 The project will see us deliver a brand-new 140-cover restaurant called 'Fifty The Street' which will serve a 50% plant-based menu in a repurposed former courtyard. The old restaurant accommodation will then be turned into a flexible conference and cabaret space with capacity for 250 delegates with the option of splitting the room into four smaller soundproof conference rooms.

Elsewhere we are introducing a number of new meeting rooms and informal breakout spaces including a sophisticated new business lounge, the aptly named “Thingamajig” room and Snug co-working space.

The hotel will also be transformed with a new Welcome Lounge that replaces the old reception heralding a more inviting arrival experience featuring a Rolls Royce jet engine developed by Loughborough University engineers as the check-in island.

Throughout the works the venue is to remain operational with our teams working closely with Imago Venues to deliver a three phased handover in readiness for full relaunch in September.
