Albert’s Restaurant and Bar, Standish

Client: Elle R Leisure

Architect: Jonathan Davidson Architects

Value: £3.1m

Duration: 36 weeks

“Sympathetic restoration of this Victorian villa to its former glory. Simply brilliant.”

Following 36 weeks on-site, Albert’s in Standish has opened its doors to the public.

Once part of the Standish Hall Estate, the existing Victorian villa has been sympathetically renovated to bring it back to its former glory. Extensions that were added to the building over the years have been demolished as part of the works.

The restaurant and bar showcase a welcoming interior style with a relaxed colour scheme, fixed booth seating, artwork and tasteful splashes of greenery. The venue offers space for up to 180 diners, with a further 70-covers on the covered and heated terrace.

The rest of the building features bespoke function spaces for varying party sizes. The largest suite, named the Almond Room, is situated to the rear of the building offering a private terrace for al fresco events. Focussed on weddings and conferences, the Almond Room can cater for up to 250 guests.
