Fintastic transformation for Sole Club

Medlock is delighted to announce details of the much-anticipated unveiling of Sole Club, the latest venture by the visionary culinary maestro, Nico Simeone, founder of Six By Nico.

Nestled in the heart of Glasgow city centre, Sole Club promises to redefine the traditional fish restaurant experience at the site of the original Six By Nico site. The venue itself is split into two with one half hosting an elevated fish and chip shop trade area and the other an intimate 20-seater speakeasy, hidden behind an innocuous looking fridge door.

On the menu culinary delights such as Monkfish Kiev and Lobster Rolls sit alongside staple classics including fish and chips and deep-fried mars bar ensuring there’s something to suit all palettes.

Our scope of work included a full sophisticated redecoration of the former Six By Nico unit, including the formation of the new adjoining speakeasy, to deliver the intimate Sole Club restaurant. The site also received mechanical and electrical upgrades to facilitate the elevated offering.

The project marks a first collaboration with Six By Nico for Medlock and we are proud to have delivered this sentimentally significant transformation of the original venue that put the ever growing restaurant group on the map.
