Hitting all the right notes at Singer Hall
Medlock was delighted to partner once again with the Mansion Group to deliver a significant refurbishment project at the Singer Hall student residence in Coventry.
Having successfully completed similar redevelopment projects at Petersen Hall in Dundee and Austin Hall and Asquith House in Leeds, we were excited to bring our expertise to this ambitious transformation.
The refurbishment of Singer Hall saw us meticulously renovate 636 rooms across 39 blocks, enhancing the accommodation options for students at nearby Coventry University and University of Warwick. The project encompassed a range of living spaces, including premium ensuite rooms, non-ensuite options with shared kitchen facilities and contemporary one-bedroom apartments.
In addition to the residential spaces, we upgraded the on-site amenity block, which now boasts a cinema room, expansive communal area, dedicated study spaces and a fully equipped laundrette.
Singer Hall itself is steeped in history, as the birthplace of the first Singer Motor Car, manufactured on the site in 1905. This rich heritage added an extra layer of significance to the project and we are proud to have played a role in shaping its next chapter as a premier student residence.
