The future is now at Nelson and Colne College

Medlock has handed over its latest project for Nelson & Colne College: a suite of classroom and communal space refurbishments to help digitise and futureproof their facilities.

As part of site-wide upgrades, we completed the remodel of multiple classrooms and corridor spaces, delivering a brand-new digital teaching academy for ICT students.

Our team also brought the college communal spaces into the present day with a considered refurbishment that not only looks great but drastically upgrades the accessibility of the ground floor main campus building.

On the roof, we replaced HVAC installations on the plant deck with a new upgraded system more in line with the needs of a specialist further education college.

Delivered over a 12-week contract period, we mostly worked during the college summer holidays to ensure as little disruption to students as possible.

With a new look just in time for new academic year, Nelson and Colne further cement their reputation as one of the foremost colleges in Lancashire.

Once again, this project highlights Medlock’s credentials as a fast-track contractor in the further education sector.
