Ulverston welcomes Premier Inn
After 43 weeks on site, the Medlock team has completed its third Premier Inn in Cumbria, this time in the South Lakeland market town of Ulverston.
Many obstacles had to be overcome by the Medlock due to the size and complexity of the site which is bordered by a canal on one side, a main road of the other and a cattle market at the rear. Undercroft car parking was utilised to allow for the requisite number of spaces while care had to be taken to protect the overhead power lines which ran across the site.The L-shaped building provided a total of 79 Premier Inn bedrooms, a spacious reception area and the contemporary Thyme restaurant, bar and breakfast room on the ground floor.
