A taste of the Deep South hits Southport

The latest venue for Hickory’s Smokehouse has opened its door in the popular seaside town of Southport.The 18-week project involved major extensions to the front and side of the former Pageant public house to deliver the Hickory’s wholly unique interior of Deep South American style.The new restaurant showcases the generous family-led hospitality which not only includes the smells, flavours and traditions of the Deep South but original design features such as the chef’s fire pit kitchen, the children’s cinema room a dedicated play area, covered veranda and enhanced outdoor seating options.The 160-capacity venue is tastefully decorated with artefacts from Louisiana, Texas and beyond allowing guests to discover the real taste and atmosphere of the southern US.
