Medlock has handed over yet another winning further education refurbishment at Hugh Baird College in Liverpool.
With over 5000 students, Hugh Baird College is one of Merseyside’s leading further education college’s, offering 300 courses across A-level, T-level and Apprenticeship disciplines.
Since the summer, we’ve been applying a deft touch across two separate campus sites.
The first location is home to the Education & Childcare and Business & Administration departments. At this site, we remodelled the ground-floor entrance area, first and second-floor teaching spaces, the bathroom block and the third-floor immersive laboratory and classroom.
At the second site, we turned our attention to the Construction and Engineering department, where we remodelled the Block A ground floor workshop, robotics lab, and engineering studio. In Block C we also revamped the ground floor engineering and plumbing workshops and the engineering lab.
We delivered this project over a 14-week contract period in a live environment. Ensuring student and college staff safety was paramount whilst keeping logistical disruptions to an absolute minimum, all while delivering a considered refurbishment that will stand the test of time.
