Medlock is excited to share details of a renovation project designed to enhance guest experiences at the Lichfield Garrick Theatre. Our team was appointed to transform the venue’s key public areas, focusing on the lounge bar, cafe bar and box office.

The theatre’s continued success and impressive visitor numbers highlighted the need for updated, comfortable spaces that could cater to the evolving needs of patrons while ensuring aesthetic and functional improvements throughout the facility.

The refurbishment project focused first on revitalizing the lounge bar and cafe bar areas, both vital to the venue’s day-to-day operations. The design incorporated a series of structural infills to optimize space, creating open, vibrant, and flexible environments that encourage guests to relax and socialize. The ground floor cafe also opens to the public throughout the week enhancing the theatre’s role as community hub maintaining a steady flow of visitors to the venue.

Other transformations included the introduction of new disabled access toilets along with a brand new foyer and box office area. To further elevate the venue’s exterior appeal, we installed a modern, visually striking canopy that draws attention to the entrance and enhances the theatre’s street presence.

This comprehensive refurbishment has not only refreshed the theatre’s look and feel but has also created more inviting, practical spaces that can accommodate both event patrons and weekday visitors alike. The upgraded amenities and improved traffic flow reinforce the Lichfield Garrick Theatre as a premier entertainment destination, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all who visit.
