The Tempest Arms, Elslack

Client: Frederic Robinsons Ltd

Architect: Allison Pike

Duration: 18 weeks

Value: £2.1m

Set in picturesque rolling countryside at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, the Tempest Arms in Elslack is a beautiful example of a delightfully preserved 17th century inn.

On behalf of our client Frederic Robinsons we have just completed a major overhaul of the guest bedroom block and restaurant area interiors at one of their most popular Individual Inns sub-brand venues.

A considered refresh of the 21 individually styled rooms offers guests a whole host of amenities and all come equipped with ensuite facilities.

There is a range of accommodation options available with the premium and deluxe suites featuring private terraces or Juliette balcony’s overlooking the adjoining babbling brook.

Further upgrades to the main pub trade area and 120 person capacity function room and wedding venue have been thoughtfully crafted whilst retaining the rustic feel the Tempest Arms has become synonymous for.

Elsewhere we created night porter accommodation to accommodate staff on hand to service guests staying overnight and also introduced an improved garden and patio scheme for visitors to enjoy the delightful surroundings of the Tempest in the fast approaching summer months.
