“The designs included a tree house, a craft beer bar, a surf cafe, French market toilets and a wall of decorative porcelain fish. Medlock was unphased by these quirks and was a pleasure to work with.”

Tony Horschfield - Architect.

Medlock carried out substantial re-modelling works to the ground and first floor space at the Timpson Group’s central services building in South Manchester.

To minimise staff disruption, the changes were implemented in three phases to six separate zones, creating a special workplace in keeping with the company’s ‘upside-down’ management culture.

The quirky and individual interior design included the refurbishment of the finance department, boardroom, meeting rooms, breakout area and the unique tree house office floor.

Medlock’s experience of high quality, fast track fit-out projects was a major factor in the awarding of the contract by the 150-year-old family-owned Timpson business.
