Hydro Hotel, Lake Windermere

Medlock has completed the refurbishment and full interior transformation of the Hydro Hotel on Lake Windemere. The 19th-century hotel is one of the oldest and most popular in the Lake District. The venue was originally built as a ‘water cure’ hotel, where people could come to relax and rejuvenate in the idyllic Lake District setting of Bowness-on-Windermere.

Working for our client, Lake Merrit Windemere, we completely transformed the interior of the hotel, dramatically altering the internal layout of the three-story building. This included the redesign of 84 guest rooms, a new function and events suite, the installation of a new open-plan bar and restaurant and an external beer garden with spectacular views.

We’re incredibly proud of the finished product and we can’t wait for the public to enjoy this truly breath-taking hotel in the middle of the Lake District.
